How to donate
Click on the Button!
Why should I donate? Because all proceeds and donations benefit the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office K-9 department. It takes a lot of training and expenses to train and care for police work dogs. They are invaluable for detecting drugs, explosives, and search and rescue tracking.
How can I donate? We make it as easy as clicking on the PayPal "Donate" button near the top of this page.
This year, we have partnered with Sheep Dog Impact Assistance. If you prefer, you may make a donation by check payable to Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, and mail it to:
Transylvania County Sheriff's Office
153 Public Safety Way
Brevard, NC 28712
Attn: Officer James Simpson
Are my donations tax deductable? Absolutely, and no donation is too small! Any donations over $250.00 will be provided the necessary paperwork for tax records.
Is there any other way I can donate? Yes, and this can be especially attractive to larger businesses. There will be several obstacles throughout the course. Some are very close to the start and finish lines, and will be very visible to spectators. Others along the course will be visible to the competing teams, but only those spectators who observe the action by hiking the course. A business may sponsor one of the high-visiblity obstacles for $500. They will then be allowed to post their business logo on the obstacle where it will be seen by practically every spectator. $250 will allow sponsorship of an obstacle along the course that will get a little less visibility. Remember, all donations benefit the K-9 unit and the dogs.
